ValleyCon 2012

It's not going to be an enormous event, just a quiet little blat in our corner of the world. We'll be holding it over the weekend of the 28th and 29th of January at our club venue, St Brendan's School on Palmer Crescent in Trentham. Give us a bell if you don't know where that is!

25mm DBMM 

Organised by Vince Cholewa. Umpiring will be by peer review using the rule book and, where appropriate, the published army lists as the references.

400 army points (AP), please include the name and number of your list, date, and any geographical or other choices made.  For example, Early Imperial Roman 2/56, 161 AD, based in Syria.

List your army by commands, specifying the number, morale equivalents (ME), types and AP of all elements in each command, the number of ME that each command has in total and the number it must successively lose to be disheartened and broken.  Please also specify the number of ME the whole army starts with, the number of ME it must lose to be defeated and up to five stratagems from which it can choose two for each game. 

Send your list to vince.cholewa@dia.govt.nz or Vince Cholewa, PO Box 222, Carterton 5743.  If sending a hard copy, please do not forget to include your address.  After I vet your list I will send you a confirmation and, as I will have seen your list, a copy of mine.  My list will be Early Imperial Roman 161 AD, 2/56, based in Syria.

3. Draw: The following priorities will be used in order to find your opponent.

1. The player with the most victory points (VP) at the start of the round will play the next highest player who he has not already played.  The second player, unless drawn to play the top player, will play the next highest player who he has not already played, and so forth.
2. A player from a different town. 
3. Historical opponent as defined in the published army lists.
4. Contemporary army based on your chosen date.
5. Count back of VP.
6. Random.
7. There will be no byes.  If all else fails, I will drop out of the competition to keep it even.

4. Rounds: 3.5 hours 9am-12.30pm and 1pm to 4.30pm
