Getting There
The 2010 National Wargames Convention will be held at St Patricks College, Silverstream, Upper Hutt. The college is conveniently located at 207 Fergusson Drive near several food outlets, including a New World Supermarket, Subway and McDonald’s. It is also directly across the road from the Silverstream railway station which also serves as a bus stop on the Valley Flyer route. (Visit www.metlink.org.nz/section10.php for timetables.)

Staying There
There are several possible accommodation options, listed in order of their distance from the venue – first is closest. Silverstream Retreat – (04) 562 9080. From $130 per night. This is the closest venue and they do have cheaper ‘backpacker’ options if you are booking as part of a group (As low as $25pp in the past, so call and ask). You will need your own transport to the venue as it is slightly too far to walk comfortably.
Bristol Motel – (04) 939 8777. From $99 per night. Across the road from the Trentham train station from which you can catch a regular train to the venue.
Totara Lodge Motor Inn and Carvery - (528 4152). Rates not available. Across the road from the Trentham train station from which you can catch a regular train to the venue.
Trentham Motel on the Park – (04) 528 8635. From $110 per night. This motel is close to Trentham station but requires a short walk.
83 By the Sea – (04) 569 8121. From $115. Located in Petone and requires a short walk to the Petone station.
